Draft, awaiting client review
Needs client approval
This page is a working draft provided so the site is complete. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Tech Depot must read it, fill in its own details and approve it before launch.
Draft for review. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the information you send us through this website. Tech Depot must review and approve this wording before launch, and confirm the retention periods noted below.
Who is responsible for your information
Tech Depot operates this website for its stores at Unit 5A Riverside Business Park, Quin Road, Ennis, Co. Clare, V95 HH61 and Main Street, New Road, Ennistymon, Co. Clare, V95 TH74.
The registered company details and the contact point for data protection queries must be confirmed by Tech Depot and added here before launch.
What we collect
What you type into our forms: your name, phone number, email address, the device or system involved, the fault you describe, your preferred date and time, and an address when you request a call out.
What you ask us to do: repair bookings, home IT, business IT, technician call out and remote support requests, contact messages, and order requests containing the products you selected.
Technical information, only if you accept analytics cookies: which pages you visited and roughly where you came from.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, to arrange and confirm a repair or a visit, and to prepare an order request for you.
To keep a record of what was agreed so we can help you again later.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising unless you have accepted marketing cookies, which this site does not currently set.
Sending a message on WhatsApp
Several buttons on this site open WhatsApp with your details written into a message. Nothing is sent until you press send inside WhatsApp.
Once you send it, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy terms, and Tech Depot receives it as a normal WhatsApp message.
How long we keep it
Retention periods must be confirmed by Tech Depot and written here before launch. The intention is to keep enquiry records only as long as needed to deal with the matter and to meet accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how it is used, object to how it is used, or ask for it in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, contact the store. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
